The Hivery runs a pair of coworking spaces and online community based in San Francisco. Due to the pandemic, they were forced to close the doors at their physical locations until office spaces started opening up again in mid-2021. Before the pandemic, they had been using a coworking space management tool, but found it to be clunky and expensive. The imminent re-opening of their spaces gave them the chance to re-think their systems and what they offered to their members.

The Hivery wanted to offer convenient half-day desk bookings to their members, with an interface that was easy-to-use. I researched the available options and set up technical demos for the team to explore the market. After extensive testing, it became clear that only one specific platform - Archie - would offer an experience that suited The Hivery’s member-base.

After extensive research, Archie was the only platform that offered half-day desk bookings in a clean and intuitive booking interface.

From there, I lead implementation of the Archie platform, interfacing with the Hivery and Archie teams to set up plans and conference rooms, import past clients and billing, and troubleshoot and fine-tune settings. I also created training and documentation for the Hivery team on using the platform.

Within the space of six weeks, I was able to lead the discovery, testing, and launch of a brand new coworking platform for The Hivery’s members, in time for the re-opening of their spaces.

After being closed for 18 months, we knew that we were reopening with an entirely different set of needs for both our business and the needs of our customers.
